Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Cory Trice won't miss regular season time with his groin injury.

Kylee Surike | Special to PennLivePittsburgh Steelers cornerback Cory Trice Jr. downplayed the groin injury he suffered on Saturday against the Detroit Lions, and“I just had some tightness going on,” Trice said. “Everything is good, though. It’s a good week to get my legs back under me after going through camp.”
Trice said he would ‘no doubt’ be back at practice next week, but the team wants to be careful. When it comes to soft tissue injuries,As for Trice’s chances in the preseason, he played well in all three preseason“It felt good,” Trice said when asked about his first team reps. “I was just out there trying to make a play every time it come my way so I can show them that I’m worthy of being out here.
Trice has almost certainly secured the top backup cornerback spot after playing well throughout training camp and the preseason. This is a minor bump in the road, and as long as the Steelers can count on him to be healthy for Week 1, there should be no worry about Trice’s injury future with the groin issue.
