Elden Ring has two Mohgs - make sure you defeat the right one before starting the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
You’ve probably been reminded by a friend to kill Mohg and Radahn ahead of the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, but have you been reminded to kill the right Mohg? So, there are two Mohgs – ‘The Omen’ and the ‘Lord of Blood.’ You will be able to find the first Mohg – Sewer Mohg – in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, which you will find in a chapel after the Forsaken Depths Site of Grace. Mohg is a demi-god, and also the brother of Morgott.
In fact, you will be transported to the Realm of Shadow through the cocoon in his lair. Not too long ago, Bandai Namco shared a disclaimer that most players had not even beaten this optional boss yet – warning players that it’s a requirement. This has followed with plenty of players desperate to defeat Morgott’s brother, though many have taken on the wrong version instead. Mohg, The Omen serves as a much less difficult version of the fight, and can be reached before the real Mohg is found.
