The Prime Minister has announced aid in response to the devastating magnitude 7.8 earthquake which hit Turkey and northern Syria, as rescue teams rush to save lives on the ground.
Residents of Turkey, which sits on a fault line, were rocked by a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake on Monday local time before a 6.7 aftershock hit 11 minutes later.

These multiple earthquakes that hit the region are having a devastating impact.” “The situation is severe, the priority is trying to reach those trapped under the rubble. The time window for that is quite limited. We have about 72 hours to save lives,” Mr Gezer told Sky News Australia.
