Right to Information documents show a complaint about 'race fixing' against Tasmania's leading harness racing stable was received by the Office of Racing Integrity in 2016, seven years before an extensive ABC investigation.

They range from alleged team driving and animal welfare concerns, to matters concerning stewarding and horse eligibility.

The May 2022 complaint raised concerns "… that a rider had said they were no longer driving for Ben Yole, because he had advised on who to let go past, and who to block".The Yole Racing property at Sidmouth, in Tasmania's north. In state parliament on Thursday, Racing Minister Madeleine Ogilvie said the 2016 complaint about race fixing had been investigated by former New South Wales integrity manager Ray Murrihy at the time.Ben Yole strenuously denied all allegations uncovered by the ABC.
