Rangers are set to play their first home game of the season at Ibrox when they face Dundee FC in the Scottish League Cup later this month.
The famous Copland Stand will remain closed for an unspecified period of time while “final concourse and seating works are ongoing”. Early reports indicated they might not return to their home ground until October but the club have since decided to re-open the doors in what is a huge boost for supporters.It’s been an underwhelming start to the season so far for Rangers, a 3-0 defeat to Celtic on Sunday has left them five points behind their arch-rivals in the Scottish Premier League.Fans will welcome the chance to return home in a move that they hope will kick-start their season.
“Excluding the Copland Stand, where final concourse and seating works are ongoing, all areas of our home will be open for this match.”
