Last season's beaten finalists Clan na Gael are back in the county final after a hard-fought two-point win over Madden at the Box-It Athletic GroundsAfter losing out to Crossmaglen last season, Clan na Gael are back in the Armagh SFC final after withstanding a fierce comeback from Madden in a keenly-contested semi-final clash at the Box-It Athletic Grounds on Saturday evening.
Things didn’t look good for the Raparees in the early stages of the game, although they were playing against a strong wind. Madden did well to only be five down at the break with Grimley hitting three of their four points in the first half. A rally of four unanswered score moved Clan na Gael into an eight-point lead with Campbell, Loney, Brendan O’Hagan and Shane McParland all on target.
