Cold weather can worsen chronic pain, but there are ways to manage it
The UK has experienced its first Arctic blast of the winter season with snow, sleet and heavy rain battering the country.
Pain expert Dr Gerard Sinovich, who works at online clinic Alternaleaf, has provided their tips on how to manage your chronic pain over winter as the temperature begins to plummet. “Opt for indoor exercises such as yoga, pilates, resistance band workouts, or light aerobics to keep joints flexible and muscles strong. Walking can be a great way to support joints but dress warmly to avoid stiffening due to cold temperatures.
