A spear fisherman who spent the night on a remote island in the Beowa National Park has been found safe and well on day two of the search.

A multi-agency search was launched, with teams from the South Coast Police District, Marine Police, Marine Rescue Merimbula and Eden volunteers, NSW Ambulance and local Surf Life Saving club members involved.The search involved using dye in the water, to show the direction of the ocean currents, which enabled authorities to adjust the search area.The search was suspended around 5.30pm on Saturday due to poor light.
But just over an hour later, the missing fisher was found safe and well on the coast in the Beowa National Park.
