After getting arrested for the murder of Lauren Bolton , Roy was sent to Weatherfield prison while DS Swain and her team continue the investigation. Roy’s friends and family know he wasn’t involved in Lauren’s disappearance at all.
Later in the week, Roy is given something to focus on when Evelyn Plummer suggests they start a book club while he’s in prison. Roy meets a man called Roscoe Griff heads back to Weatherfield prison Pleased to have something to look forward to, Roy turns his attention to the new project, unaware Griff Reynolds has just returned to the Weatherfield nick. Griff was the leader of a far-right gang and responsible for manipulating Max Turner into joining.
