Five churches and MP Douglas McAllister took part in the fundraiser, which was running for a third year.

Five churches joined to participate in the 7km walk along the River Leven from Balloch to Renton for the third year running.

Reverend Margaret Nutter, a Church of Scotland Ordained Local Minister and Christian Aid contributor said: “Enjoying a leisurely pace along the river we took in the autumnal landscape and noticed the leaves changing colour and brambles ripening. Lucy le Roux, campaigns and advocacy coordinator at Christian Aid Scotland said: “I’d like to congratulate everyone who took, it sounds like a successful event. And it’s great that Douglas McAllister, Member of Parliament for West Dunbartonshire, was able to find time in his busy schedule to join them.
