An area around Northburn Industrial Estate was sealed off after the leak was reported on Cameron Street in Coatbridge.
Roads have reopened in Coatbridge following a chemical leak as a police probe into the incident continues.
Four patients were treated at the scene by paramedics but no one was seriously injured as a result. What sparked the chemical leak is currently unclear but officers from Police Scotland say an investigation is underway. A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 12:37 hours today to assist the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at an incident on Cameron Street in Coatbridge.
