A Southcentral Alaska campsite is making one of Alaska’s most accessible glaciers also one of the most enjoyable.
GLACIER VIEW, Alaska - , a locally-owned “glamping” business a short drive from Palmer, features queen and twin beds in spacious tents, some of which look out to Matanuska Glacier .
Beginning with a single canvas tent in 2016, Wray now rents out seven tents, hoping to provide a peaceful and tranquil experience for all guests. With each tent comes a private deck with a chair, and it’s just a short walk to a common area where there’s a fire pit, hot tub, shower and toilets. “You can literally show up with your family and a change of clothes and still have that camping experience,” Wray said.
