TV personality Rob Rinder, 45, became emotional during an interview on Good Morning Britain, as the star opened up about how his Jewish family feel unsafe in the UK
The Judge Rinder star spoke to Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard about the effect the war has had on his Jewish family, emotionally telling the hosts: "My mum's sitting there saying she feels unsafe."
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Rob, 45, said, "It should be personable for every person, whoever you are. My mum is sitting there saying she feels unsafe. There are less than 270,000 Jews in this country. My nephews as young as seven are going to school today and they are under risk. There's a chance that they won't come home. Sending your kids to school shouldn't be an act of courage.
The star also spoke about attending a vigil outside London's Downing Street, where people prayed for those impacted by the war. Rob stressed that "whatever happens in the Middle East should have no impact on the safety of our communities", before concluding with a plea to the audience to "stand alongside us because we need you now more than ever".
