Sarah Turner used a screwdriver to steal cash and spend on drugs
This is the face of a Nottingham woman who befriended and then robbed her stage-four cancer-suffering neighbour on the 71-year-old victim’s doorstep. Nottinghamshire Police has now released the custody photograph of Sarah Turner who last week was sentenced to three years and seven months in prison for the heartless crime.
“She was alone and you knew she was suffering from cancer but you did not care about any of those things at all because your desire to get drugs overwhelmed everything else. You left her in a state of fear and anxiety about other people and that will never leave her. What you did to her will remain with her for the rest of her life.”
“She raised a screwdriver and threatened her with it and was petrified and went into the living room and got £30 for her purse and gave it to the defendant who had her hood up and half of her face covered with a scarf.”
