Sir Rod Stewart gifted one of his favourite bars in the Merchant City with a signed bottle of his whisky brand, Wolfie's. The singing sensation was in the city last week before Celtic's clash with St Mirren on Wednesday, November 1.
The game saw Hoops beat their rivals 2-1 at Paradise. But, before kick-off, Sir Rod popped into Murphy's, on Bell Street, for his tenth visit in 18 months. They wrote: "A big thanks to our celebrity barman for popping in again before the St Mirren game at Paradise last week. An even bigger thanks for bringing a bottle of his new Wolfie’s whisky, signed, sealed and delivered by the man himself. It’s fantastic - according to him.An amused punter commented on Sir Rod's frequent visits to the bar, and wrote: "Be charging him rent."Murphy's is open from 4pm today as Celtic take on Athletico Madrid with kick-off expected at 8pm.
