Nataly Firstly, the King is a workaholic, even at 75-years-old! Throughout his recovery he has been reading government papers, carrying out his constitutional role, meeting ambassadors and been in regular contact with the Prime Minister via their traditional weekly phone calls or audiences.
Secondly, he is fortunate enough to have several properties where he has time and space for leisure. He has been enjoying walking in the grounds at Sandringham, Norfolk, and the Balmoral estate, in Scotland. And tending his beloved gardens at Highgrove, Gloucestershire, and Birkhall, Scotland. Plus, he reads a lot and is relaxed by painting.
