Landemer Day will take place on Saturday on Rutherglen Main Street in its 50th year since it was resumption in 1974.

He said: “It has changed over the years. We used to have parades with floats all the way up to Overtoun Park, but with the changes in regulations regarding people being on the back of moving vehicles, the parade died a death. “We will have a climbing wall, balloon modeller, face painter, as well as Trevor Smith, who will also be in attendance with his funfair rides.“Some ideas never came to fruition, but hopefully the weather will make for a good turnout and a great day.”
There will be stalls from Queen Street to Rutherglen Cross and the opportunity to support local community groups and hear what’s going on in the Community.
