The Green MSP said there 'should be no place in Scotland for the toxic mix of fear, hate and division that the far right promote'.

Scotland has no place for the far right, the co-leader of the Scottish Greens will tell a rally in Glasgow today.

Tommy Robinson, who has multiple convictions for a variety of offences, had called for a "pro-UK" event to take place in George Square. Hundreds of people were subsequently arrested at subsequent violent demonstrations in England last month following the Southport knife attack. "Glasgow’s a multicultural city with a long, proud history of standing up against the far right. We saw it when the English Defence League tried to stir up hate, we saw it when residents stood up to the Home Office at Kenmure Street, and we’re seeing it again here today.
