Warnings are in place across England and Wales for thunderstorms, and Scotland's outlook is not far off.
Parts of the UK are to be hit by a plethora of thunderstorms rain and heat, but what weather can Scotland expect to see?
BBC Scotland meteorologist Christopher Blanchett reports a "cloudy start" to Thursday, with "a few spots" of rain and drizzle across southern Scotland first thing. Its long range forecast spanning from Monday August 5 until Wednesday August 14, predicts low pressure to remain broadly close to northwest Scotland through much of this period.
