A new list of the 10 'most beautiful' beaches in Scotland has been shared, and coming in at number one is an island bay that is 'great for a relaxing stroll or swim'.
As November kicks off and we enter the colder months, now may not seem like the best time for a trip to the beach. However, when the mercury drops is actually a great time to visit one of Scotland's scenic bays if you are looking to avoid the crowds.
Meanwhile, Scarista Beach is also a great spot for a peaceful walk — especially towards the end of the year when fewer tourists venture there. It is even dog friendly, meaning you can take your furry friend along with you for the adventure. Elsewhere, Scotland's Wild Tours named Calgary Bay on the Isle of Mull as the second "most beautiful" beach in Scotland. The bay is the biggest and most accessible in the north of Mull, located around 12 miles from the island's capital town of Tobermory.
