Scots mountain biker rushed to hospital after suffering serious injuries on late night forest ride
An experienced mountain biker had to be stretchered to safety after picking up serious injuries on a forest trail last night.
Oban Mountain Rescue Team raced to the scene and the causality, who is local to the area, was assessed by medics. He was then stretchered a short distance to a waiting ambulance and transported to Lorne and Isles Hospital.A statement from Oban Mountain Rescue reads: "Team called out last night to assist an injured Mountain Biker in Barcaldine forest. Casualty was assessed by our Medics, packaged and stretchered a short distance to a waiting Ambulance."Remember if in difficulty on the hills or off road call 999 - ask for Police, then request Mountain Rescue.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 8.29pm on February 21 2023 to attend an incident at Barcaldine Forest. "An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Lorne and Isles Hospital.”READ NEXT:
