Days after the flooding tore through Brechin Alec returned to find their home destroyed, filled with dirty water and their possessions broken or missing.

An elderly couple have lost everything after floods brought by Storm Babet ravaged their home in Brechin.

The pensioners were evacuated to a rest centre after water burst into their property on Eastmill Road Caravan Site on Friday, October 20. He told the Daily Record: "We were listening to the news and knew the storm was on its way then we were asked to evacuate. Their granddaughter Natalie has now set up a fundraiser to help her grandparents rebuild their lives. Despite the devastation, the couple want to stay in Brechin and are looking for a new home.
