A 78-year-old pensioner from Scotland , Susan Sergison, was found deceased by police officers at a residence on Gilmour Drive in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, on Wednesday evening. Police responded to a call just before 8:30 pm and discovered Ms. Sergison unresponsive inside the property. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, classifying it as unexplained. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted.
Forensic teams were observed meticulously examining the property on Thursday, and the scene remained cordoned off by police. A 49-year-old woman was arrested in connection with an assault. Police Scotland issued a statement confirming the incident, stating that officers received a report of a woman seriously injured at the address. They further emphasized that the death is being treated as unexplained and that inquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information or concerns is urged to approach the officers stationed at the scene
