Janey Godley , a beloved Scottish comedian and author, passed away recently after a long battle with cancer. Godley was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in November 2021, underwent chemotherapy and was declared cancer-free. However, she relapsed in September 2024, and eventually announced she was receiving end-of-life care. Despite her health struggles, Godley continued to perform until her final days, including her 'Not Dead Yet' tour.
She leaves behind a legacy of three books, including 'Handstands In The Dark' and 'Frank! Get The Door'. Her last book, 'Nothing Left Unsaid', was a work of fiction published in 2023, written before her own cancer diagnosis
