The Scottish Government Reporter confirmed that the report is now in the possession of Ministers who are considering it’s findings.
A report compiled by Scottish Government planners on proposals for a rail hub in Ravenscraig has been completed and handed to Ministers to make the final decision on the plans.
Scottish Conservative councillor for Motherwell South East and Ravenscraig Nathan Wilson said: “The introduction of a rail freight hub in Ravenscraig would result in the loss of significant land that is intended for new housing and it also raises serious road safety concerns. “There is a very strong material planning basis for rejecting the proposals and it is absolutely vital that Ravenscraig is not forced to become the home for an unwanted development of this nature.
