Could Marshawn be headed for the Hall of Fame in the pros and in college?
Legendary Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year, but it’s not the only HOF we could see him in very soon. Earlier this month, the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame released the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame ballot. There are nearly 80 players from the Football Bowl Subdivision up for potential selection, as well as an additional 101 from outside the FBS.
Here’s the bio entry: Metcalf would play seven seasons with the Chicago Bears from 2002 until 2008. One of his playoff wins came against the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional Round back in 2007. Both Lynch and Metcalf are in the Hall of Fame of their respective schools, and they’re both in line for potentially making it to the national college HOF. Odds are not particularly high that Lynch will be a first-ballot Pro Football HOFer, but I won’t definitively rule anything out.
