Chris Beesley crunches the numbers from Sean Dyche's previous home form in the Premier League as the Everton manager looks to revive the Blues' fortunes at Goodison Park
Just when is Sean Dyche going to provide some home comforts for loyal but long-suffering Evertonians at Goodison Park this season?
Former Everton player and lifelong fan Michael Ball described Dyche’s home record as “awful” in his ECHO column this week and insisted the current Blues boss “has really struggled to use Goodison as a weapon,” while it’s also been pointed out that the 52-year-old has lost more home games than Mike Walker.
Is there anything from Dyche’s past record to suggest he might have problems when it comes to picking up points at home? Well there are seven previous Premier League seasons at Burnley to pick through so let’s take a look…Summary: Having won promotion to the Premier League as runners-up in the Championship behind Leicester City, Burnley went straight back down, finishing 19th. Their 19 points picked up at Turf Moor was the lowest home total in the Premier League that season.
