Everton boss Sean Dyche says his strategic plans are limited by international departures but that there is still important work that could be done during the break
Sean Dyche’s ambition heading into the international break was to find a balance between fitness and rest as well as fine-tuning the work of the Everton players who remained at Finch Farm.
But this period has given him his first opportunity to work with the frontline five he is reliant upon after the transfer window closed and players returned from injury. Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jack Harrison, Dwight McNeil, Beto and Arnaut Danjuma have all been at work under Dyche’s watch this week. None were available to start the opening game of the Premier League season against Fulham. Since the arrival of Beto and Harrison and the return to fitness of the other three, each has shown promise.
