Reaction from the Everton manager after the stalemate against Brentford in the Premier League
Sean Dyche accepted it was his responsibility to ensure Everton are better than the effort they mustered in the goalless draw against 10-man Brentford. The Blues missed a golden opportunity to find a valuable win when the Bees, who had lost every game this season and not kept a clean sheet, had captain Christian Norgaard sent off for a first half lunge on Jordan Pickford.
Brentford, in fact, created the best chances of the game with Pickford saving from one-on-ones with Yoane Wissa and Keane Lewis-Potter. The result was met with a smattering of boos on the final whistle. Speaking after the game, Dyche acknowledged his side did not deserve to win and that he was disappointed as a result. Of the reaction of the supporters, he said: “They can direct it at whoever they want. They expect us to win. I expect us to win.
