The work forms part of the Glasgow City Region City Deal which is designed to unlock strategic development sites and support the delivery of an improved transport network across the Glasgow and Clyde Valley area. The proposed road and public realm improvements to the canal edge and the creation of segregated cycle lanes and footways will help to achieve the project objectives and will contribute towards community aspirations for the regeneration of the wider Port Dundas and Speirs Wharf areas.
