A security guard was arrested Tuesday after allegedly robbing a drugstore in Quezon City that he was assigned to secure, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said.

A security guard was arrested Tuesday after allegedly robbing a drugstore in Quezon City that he was assigned to secure, the Quezon City Police District said. QCPD director Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III identified the suspect as Eric Mercado who works the night shift at the drugstore located on Banawe Street corner E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, according to a report of Allan Gatus on Dobol B TV.
“Mga 7:00 o'clock kaninang umaga, naka-receive tayo ng report na nilooban ito... at ang holdaper supposedly ay ikinulong ang dalawang empleyado na magbubukas ng branch na ito,” he said.The suspect, who just started working at the drugstore a month ago, allegedly took an undetermined amount of money. His wife reportedly passed away when he started working at the drugstore.Torre presented a photo of the suspect.
