Independent MP Dai Le says she is “very grateful” the Senate committee looking into the cost of living pressures is holding a hearing in Western Sydney on Friday to actually “get onto the ground” outside of Canberra.
“So far this morning I’ve heard from … the local Chamber of Commerce … talking about the increased costs of living in terms of electricity prices rises, gas prices, in terms of housing affordability,” Ms Le told Sky News Australia.
“And obviously the impact of … petrol prices and, of course the push for electric vehicles in an area where a majority of us drive petrol-fuelled cars.”
