I must hand it to Severance fans. It’s not often that one of their theories comes true. Over on the r/SeveranceAppleTVPlus Reddit page, fans throw out everything from Lumon is turning humans into food! to Eagan is building himself a clone army! But after the first episode of season 2, some eagle-eyed viewers noticed inconsistencies in Helly R.’s behavior during her return to the Macrodata Refinement team. Episode 4 finally proved their theory correct.
“THAT IS SO HELENA HOLY F**K HER FACIAL EXPRESSION CHANGE WHEN IRVING CONFRONTED HER,” one Reddit user wrote in all caps after the episode. Another chimed in with Irving’s line, “HELLY WAS NEVER CRUEL.”Props to Reddit user Altruistic-Sky747 for figuring this one out at the very beginning of season 2. They are far from the only fan I’ve seen who predicted the twist, but they seemed the most excited to find out that they were correct.
