Motorists and bus passengers have been warned to expect 'severe delays' this weekend due to a road closure. Gas works will be carried out on Cinderhill Road, between Cinderhill and Bulwell, on Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29.
Nottingham City Transport said a number of bus services would be diverted all day on both days due to the road being closed. It said the following routes would face diversions: Orange 35, Yellow 70, 71 and Turquoise 79/A. It also said it was expecting services to be severely delayed due to the length of the diversion and the volume of traffic. The closure will be in place between Cinderhill roundabout and the Riverside Building.Posting on X, formerly Twitter, Nottingham City Transport, said: "Gas works taking place on Cinderhill Road on Sat 28 and Sun 29 October. Orange 35, Yellow 70, 71 and Turquoise 79/A will divert all day on both days.
NCT added buses will divert via the A610,Nuthall roundabout, Low Wood Road, Hempshill Lane, Crabtree Road and Sellers Wood Drive in both directions. Motorists have also been warned to expect delays and congestion in and around the area.
