Dillon Crouse.SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The police department may have cleared the final hurdle Monday toward its acquisition of a drone to assist with specific investigations.
It was the third work session devoted to Chief Wayne Hudson’s request in January to use $22,000 of roughly $1 million in Law Enforcement Trust Funds to acquire a drone, although once features such as thermal imaging are added, the cost could esceed $25,000 - the threshold amount that requires council approval.
