Chris Wilder can count on Vinicius Souza and Gustavo Hamer next week after they successfully came through their last outing without a fifth yellow card of the season
A double boost has been handed to Sheffield United as they start to look ahead to their Leeds United visit next Friday. Beating a fellow relegated outfit, Luton Town, was one reason to cheer on Saturday, but there was a selection triumph for Chris Wilder, too.
“I thought Vini was outstanding in terms of his attitude,” said Wilder. “It was a physical game. I didn't understand a couple of the referee's decisions, I was scratching my head at a couple of them. “They're both going to make tackles and they're going to commit to stuff, which they have to. So it's coming. We understand that, but it was important he got through and Gus got through, to give us the strength in depth to go into our next games.”
Souza, meanwhile, is rated among the best performers in the division on the stats website WhoScored.com. Souza’s 7.32 is the fifth-highest rating of all players in the second tier this term.
