Kenny Doughty played Aiden Healy in Vera for eight years and eventually quit the role, before marrying his famous actress partner and now starring alongside her in a new TV drama
As his former Vera co-stars prepare to see themselves in the final series, Kenny Doughty has secured a significant new role in a TV drama, alongside his well-known wife Ashley Jensen, who is currently leading Shetland .
Kenny's last scenes as Aiden were filmed at the end of 2022 for the Christmas special The Rising Tide, which attracted a large audience to ITV on Boxing Day last year. Earlier this year, Kenny travelled to Shetland where she was filming the latest series of the BBC drama while Ashley was on set filming her second season as DI Ruth Calder.
