Shirley Ballas, a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, has revealed that she had to adjust her approach on the show after her son expressed shock at seeing her in her role. Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas has revealed how she had to change one thing after her son was left shocked after watching her on the show for the first time in 2017. Speaking to Platinum magazine, the popular Strictly star shared how she had to change her 'attitude' after her son was left 'shocked' when she first appeared on the panel of the hit celebrity dancing competition seven years ago.

Having become a grandmother last year after her son Mark and his wife Jean welcomed their first child, Banksi, she shared how the 38-year-old prefers watching one of her Strictly colleagues over her. Shirley explained to Heat magazine: 'But I have to say, I said to my son Mark, who lives in LA, 'There are lots of ladies to choose from', and he goes, 'Mum, don't be offended, but it's Claudia Winkleman!'
