Images have shown the devastation caused after the fire broke out at the Independent Mercedes and BMW Spec premises at Houston Industrial Estate in Livingsto
n. Fire crews raced to the scene after the alarm was raised at around 11.45pm on Monday.
Other images taken earlier in the day showed flames ripping through the building and it's understood a number of expensive cars were also destroyed in the fire. Another resident in the area, Janice, said: "I was trying to cut through the industrial estate to pick my granddaughter up - but they wouldn't let me through."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 11.34am on Monday, July 29, to reports of well-developed fire within a commercial building at Houston Industrial Estate on Grange Road, Livingston.
