A shooter has been gunned down by police in the United States after opening fire inside a shopping outlet, killing a number of people and injuring nine.
An officer from Allen Police Department was responding to an unrelated incident at Allen Premium Outlets, north of Dallas, when he heard shots fired from elsewhere in the mall about 3.35pm on Saturday .
While an unknown number of people have been killed, white tarp could be seen covering four bodies that laid outside the outlet. Allen Police Department Chief Brian Harvey said his “deepest sympathies” are with the families of the victims but was unable to provide details at this stage.“We’re just sorry that those families are experiencing that loss.”
He also provided an update to the ongoing situation, as emergency services work to “ensure the scene is safe”.
