A man was caught shoplifting meat from a Co-Op in London and jailed for eight weeks. Police officers conducted a sting operation using CCTV footage to monitor the store and apprehend the suspect.
A man who was caught in the act stealing packets of meat from a supermarket has been jailed. The man was arrested as part of a Met Police operation to tackle shoplifting in south London.Neighbourhood officers in Lambeth carried out a targeted sting at the Co-Op in Lower Marsh on Monday, 27 January after several reports of theft from the store.After reviewing recent crime reports, police officers arrived early and waited in the back office where they monitored CCTV cameras.
