The new addition has brought the greasy spoon caff experience to supermarket shoppers in the form of a classic British sarnie, but diners have an issue with one ingredient in particular – cold chips.
’ LM Rizzo wasn’t impressed either, writing: ‘Just got this. It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. It’s not crispy. It’s like soggy potatoes.’ Featuring white bread, jam-packed with Beechwood-smoked ham, egg mayo, salt and vinegar fries and ketchup, it emulates a typical order at a no-frills local caff or pub. Tesco sandwich creator, Sarah Bryer, is more positive about this supermarket creation. She said: ‘We think it could go on to become a breakfast classic.
