ABS-CBN’s head of TV production Laurenti Dyogi confirmed during an ambush interview with reporters that the company is now operating as a “content creator” while GMA is currently the “number one station,” when he was asked about the recent collaboration between the two amid their decades-old rivalry.
“Hangga’t maaari, hangga’t kaya kong unawain ang dati kong alaga na hanggang ngayon naman ay anak-anakan ko, ay hindi para magsalita tayo or kontrahin siya kung ano ‘yung paniniwala niya, kasi paniniwala ‘yon ni Liza,” he said. Diaz, however, admitted that he gets hurt whenever Soberano is being subjected to bashing because of her statements, noting how he feels sorry as a father figure to the actress.
Soberano, who said this during an earlier interview with Boy Abunda, noted that these eventually changed as her managers agreed to cuts, with Diaz getting 20 percent and her Tita Joni 15 percent.
