Emilia Fox has revealed how she began her career in acting by chance after initially working as a waitress in a London pub

In a conversation with Kate Thornton on the White Wine Question Time podcast, the 50-year-old actress disclosed that she hadn't initially intended to pursue a career in acting.

Despite her successful four-decade-long career, Emilia was focused on her university studies when her acting career took off unexpectedly. This conversation led Emilia to audition for the BBC's Pride and Prejudice: "I hadn't really considered it , because I had wanted to do something different. But this opportunity came up to do an audition for Pride and Prejudice, they needed someone who could play the piano who looked young."

Emilia first graced our screens in 1995, featuring in the widely acclaimed BBC adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice alongside stars like Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle, reports Bristol Live.
