To make the steps, Becky used a six-unit Kallax shelving unit she had bought from IKEA, stacking the compartments to create a staircase.
The dedicated mum spent 10 days building the makeshift loft space from start to finish, with the products setting her back just £250 – and she couldn’t be happier with the result.She said: “I’m amazed with the results – it turned out way better than I even had pictured.” Becky shared the results on Facebook, where her post garnered nearly 4,000 likes, with hundreds of people gushing over her handiwork in the comments section.
One person said: “This is actually amazing and done to such an ideal budget. Think I’m going to steal this idea for my youngest and my stepson – what my partner doesn’t know won’t hurt him.”Someone else commented: “That is simply one word ‘outstanding’ – fabulous.”One person even compared the look to that of a “showroom”, congratulating Becky on her efforts.
