Manchester United did not take advantage of a key FIFA rule change last season that Sir Alex Ferguson's son Darren made the most of more than almost anyone else

Darren Ferguson revived 'Fergie Time' last season after FIFA altered its added time rules - but Manchester United did not take advantage of the changes.

The 1500% increase in added-time goals is by far the biggest in England and across Europe, according to StatsChecker. Their data also shows that United scored the same amount of late goals as last season after the changes. Only Crystal Palace and Everton managed fewer added-time goals than Erik ten Hag's side.

Several of those also came against United, including two from Cole Palmer at Stamford Bridge and another from Gabriel Jesus away at Arsenal. Brentford's Kristoffer Ajer and Fulham's Alex Iwobi also scored in added time to cost United points this season.
