After missing out on promotion in the League One play-offs for the second season running last term, Peterborough had ambitions of making it third time lucky this campaign in their quest to return to the Championship after relegation in 2021/22. However, they currently find themselves 19th in the standings, 14 points shy of the play-off places.
Wrexham, meanwhile, are eyeing up a third successive promotion after making the step up from League Two last season. Phil Parkinson's team currently sit third in the standings, two points behind second-placed Birmingham City and table-toppers Wycombe Wanderers.
