The former Beatle is currently on his 'Got Back' tour
Sir Paul McCartney brought a fan on stage after spotting a sign they were holding. During his soundcheck before his sold-out show at the Monumental Stadium, Santiago, the music icon helped a Chilean couple get engaged on stage on Friday, October 11. Spotting Yamil Álamo and Leonora Pereira dressed as 1970s versions of Paul and Linda McCartney and holding a sign that read 'Paul: Give us a handshake and we'll get married', the 82-year-old invited the couple up to the stage.
The tour kicked off in Uruguay at the start of the month and saw the artist perform the last unfinished Beatles song 'Now and Then' for the first time. The song, released in November 2023, was created from a home demo of a ballad that John had recorded in 1977 but left unfinished. Surviving bandmates Sir Paul and Sir Ringo Starr finished the track using overdubs and guitar tracks from George Harrison, who died in 2001.
