The 82-year-old is back on the road with his new tour
Sir Paul McCartney has been flooded with messages of support after a special family update. The Beatles legend is currently touring with his Got Back our. The world tour got underway last week with a show in Montevideo. The 82-year-old is performing a series of show's in South America for the tour's first leg as he will play the Estadio Monumental in Chile tomorrow. However, he has taken a well-deserved break from his hectic schedule to mark a special occasion.
John's widow, Yoko Ono bought the house in March 2002, and donated it to the National Trust in order to save it from demolition and property speculators. Speaking to the ECHO in 2022, Simon Osborne, General Manager of the National Trust's Liverpool properties said: 'We're proud to care for Mendips, the childhood home of John Lennon in Liverpool.
