The father of two sisters, Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, who went missing in Aberdeen, has confirmed that their bodies were recovered from the River Dee. The family is devastated by the news, with the sisters' triplet sister collapsing upon learning of their fate. A massive search operation had been launched after the sisters were reported missing, but police had called off searches of the river before the bodies were discovered in late January.
The dad of sisters who went missing in Aberdeen says he has “never felt such pain” after he was told two bodies had been recovered from the water during searches of the River Dee.
The 63-year-old shared his heartache saying the grim discovery shattered their triplet sister Edit, brother Jozsef and the rest of the family. Officers investigating their disappearance stated there was nothing to suggest any suspicious circumstances or criminality. Dive teams had been seen in the river throughout January searching for the pair, with a police boat patrolling the river on Friday morning following the discovery of the first body.
It is believed relatives are now working to get the siblings’ remains flown back to Hungary. A fundraiser, which was launched by friend of the Huszti sisters, Anita Vida, to help support the family, has raised more than £5,000 towards the bereaved family’s costs.
